Tom… nice write up on Del.icio.us. I was trying to explain to a friend what it was all about and directed him to your page. I use Del.icio.us myself but agree that it has a very bleak interface, I must check out Ma.gnolia… thanks

A trackback address is an address people can use in their blog posts if they want a link to appear here linking to their blog post. Not used much here.

URI is another term for a website address!

Social bookmarking has exploded, it’s very cool and we are only going to see more of it. I think it’s impacting on traditional search in a very large way although searching some of these sites produces some very spammy looking results. Myself I tend to use furl a lot.

While you are at trying del.icio.us alternatives, give Simpy a shot - the service is rock solid, has been around for several years, also has Groups and other things that del.icio.us doesn’t have (and never will, it seems), good integration with firefox and other browsers, most excellent search, and the list goes on. I’m addicted to Del.icio.us. It became one of the tools I can’t live without… handy and accessible from wherever I go.

I didn’t try Ma.gnolia yet, but after your post I think that I’ll give it a shot, (Ma.Del Tagging Bookmarklet sounds good too)
